What I Keep in My Golf Cart

Some of the best afternoons aren’t planned.

One text turns into a boat ride. A quick errand becomes dinner on the waterfront. A sunset cruise happens because the weather is simply too good to stay home.

Over time, I’ve stopped packing for those moments and started preparing for them instead.

These are the products that have earned permanent space in my golf cart because they make saying “yes” to spontaneous plans easy.

The Sea Bags Tote That Holds It All

Everything starts with my pink lobster Sea Bags tote.

It lives on the passenger seat all season because it’s large enough to hold everything I actually use without feeling oversized. The recycled sailcloth handles damp towels, sunscreen, and everyday wear beautifully, and it’s one of those bags that somehow still looks polished after spending months around the water. Plus, it matches the color of my golf cart perfectly.

Instead of packing a bag every time I head out, I simply keep it stocked and ready to go.

It’s earned its permanent place.

My Pink BrüMate

My pink BrüMate practically lives in the golf cart.

Whether I’m running into town, meeting friends for dinner, or hopping on a boat, cold water is already within reach. It keeps drinks cold the entire day - even when I leave it in the parked golf cart out in the heat.

My JBL Speaker

Every golf cart ride is better with music.

My JBL speaker stays in the cart because it gets used almost every weekend. Sometimes it’s playing while we’re driving through town. Other times it’s sitting on the dock while everyone catches up after a boat ride.

It’s small enough to leave in the cart but powerful enough that it’s become part of every waterfront afternoon.

Like everything else in this setup, it’s earned its spot.

My Dedicated Sunscreen Bag

This is probably the product I reach for most often.

Instead of tossing sunscreen into different bags throughout the summer, I keep one dedicated sunscreen bag permanently stocked. Face sunscreen, body sunscreen, lip protection, after-sun products—everything stays together so I never have to wonder whether I remembered to pack it.

That simple system has made summer afternoons much easier.

My Turkish Towel

Originally, I packed this towel for boat days.

Now I probably use it just as often after the sun starts going down.

It folds down surprisingly small, dries quickly, and has become my “just in case” layer whenever the breeze picks up along the waterfront. More than once, it’s ended up around my shoulders during an evening golf cart ride home. It even helps if an afternoon sprinkle gets the golf cart seat wet.

It wasn’t something I expected to use every week.

Now I wouldn’t leave without it.

The Little Things That End Up Mattering Most

Some of the smallest products are the ones I appreciate the most.

My Laneige Lip Glowy Balm keeps my lips from drying out after hours in the sun.

A Touchland hand sanitizer somehow gets used constantly.

And my portable charger has rescued my phone more times than I can count after an afternoon of photos, music, maps, and videos.

They’re easy to overlook, but they’re also the items I’m always glad are already packed.

None of these products are in my golf cart because they look good together.

They’ve earned their place because they’ve made countless afternoons simpler, more comfortable, and a little more enjoyable.

The best part about having this setup isn’t the products themselves—it’s never having to stop and think before heading out. Whether the afternoon turns into a quick ride around town, dinner on the waterfront, or an unexpected invitation to spend a few hours on the boat, everything I need is already waiting on the passenger seat.

That’s become one of my favorite systems I’ve built.
